Job Description:
Reporting to the Head of Transformation, the Interim Head of Product will lead the Product Function during a period of continued maturity and growth. The role is responsible for ensuring strong product governance, commercial performance, product development and regulatory compliance across Volkswagen Financial Services Ireland's product portfolio (both regulated and unregulated products).
The role sits at the intersection of product, operations, technology, risk and compliance, sales, digital and business development ensuring that products meet customers’ needs while supporting the strategic and commercial objectives of the business.
The successful candidate will lead the Product Function, sponsor key initiatives, develop product propositions, and drive excellence in product management practices across the organisation in line with our regulatory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Product Function and provide oversight of product governance, product management and product strategy.
• Chair and manage product governance forums, including the Product Monthly Business Review process.
• Own the product lifecycle framework and ensure effective governance from product design through to retirement.
• Drive product performance, including commercial outcomes, customer outcomes, profitability and compliance.
• Lead strategic and tactical product proposition development and identify opportunities for growth, innovation, cross-selling and upselling.
• Contribute to annual business planning, budgeting and business case development.
• Develop management information, reporting and performance indicators to support informed decision making.
• Support, coach and develop Product Managers while building succession capacity and cross-functional product knowledge.
• Drive standardisation of product management processes and practices across the product portfolio.
• Partner with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Digital and Sales teams to deliver product enhancements and business change.
• Sponsor key strategic initiatives including customer communications governance, customer data ownership, product blueprinting and regulatory change programmes.

Terms & Conditions
• Significant experience in product management, product governance and/or commercial leadership within financial services.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering product or business change initiatives.
• Strong understanding of consumer finance, automotive finance, banking, insurance or other regulated financial services environments.
• Experience working within regulatory frameworks and governance structures.
• Experience developing and successfully launching new products and services into a regulated market.
• Relevant professional qualifications in business, financial services, product management or insurance are desirable.
